The Central Austin Neighborhood Planning Advisory Committee (CANPAC) was formed by residents and property owners who participated in the neighborhood planning process initiated in 2002 by the City. It is the City of Austin recognized Neighborhood Planning Team for the Central Austin Combined Neighborhoods Plan. CANPAC hears presentations from property owners requesting a neighborhood plan amendment, determines the sentiments of its seven member neighborhood associations and stakeholders, and presents to the Planning Commission and City Council letters of support or opposition on the proposed amendments.
